Biography

Forest Aliya is a clairvoyant contemporary abstract landscape painter, muralist, and sound artist who lives and works in Nevada City, Ca. She describes her work as Timescapes which is a narrative of collective places that she has experienced in the physical world as well as with the minds eye and brought together to create a world that has not been fully manifested on Earth. In a timescape there is not time or space only movement between worlds which is expressed with color, line, and form. My art is an expression of how light and sound interact.

Aliya’s work has been exhibited in the San Francisco Bay Area, Sacramento, Ca, Capetown, South Africa, Portland, Or, and Nevada City, CA

Artist Statement

I create spaces with color that delicately rules balances of harmonies (transcendence, states of grace, truth) and melodies (creativity, certainty, love, polarity).  Simultaneously, these two concepts manifest all living things, human and non human.  An energy center is present that sustains morphed forms so they can relate and communicate the interconnectiveness between all things. By intuitively and strategically placing forms of color together I create platforms for stories of movement to evolve.
