Thursday Wheel Throwing - $265 + materials fee
January 22 - February 12 - 4 Weeks (6 seats)
Thursday Evenings 5:30-8:30pm
Get your hands on some clay and try out the potter’s wheel! We will go through all the steps of making pots on the wheel, trimming them, adding surface designs and glazing them. This class is designed for all skill levels, but especially to let students get a taste of or get back into working with the potters wheel. We will focus on functional pottery - vessels like cups, vases and bowls. My goal is for everyone to enjoy the wonderful process of making ceramics, and I tailor my teaching style to what best suits my students & their skill levels. All clay & glaze used and fired at the studio must also have been purchased at the studio.

About your teacher:
Hi! I’m Kelly! I started taking ceramics classes in 2019 and launched my business, 404 Ceramics, in 2021. With a background in Computer Science, I love that ceramics is a blend of technical precision, science and creativity that result in beautiful & functional pieces of art. I have over 4 years of experience as a full-time potter producing & selling her own wares as well as extensive teaching experience in multiple disciplines. I’ve taught and tutored topics from STEM to ceramics, and had very positive feedback on my teaching style & ability to explain concepts to anyone! My goal in every class is to help you feel confident in your ceramic skills while also enjoying the creative process and the joy of working with clay.
